At Tailwind, we’ve taken the magic of a cozy coffee shop and put it on wheels. Our baristas don’t just serve great espresso—they create a warm, inviting space that turns every stop into a memorable moment.
We chose the name Tailwind because it invokes thoughts of something that propels you forward. You get a boost, a pick-me-up, a push in the right direction. For a coffee business, that sounds about right! And we as a business want to be that for our community. As for the falcon, we like that falcons symbolize speed and determination—and they don’t even need espresso!
We’re honored to serve the greater Chattanooga area with two options to suit any occasion—our elegant coffee trailer or our versatile cart. Whether it’s a corporate event, wedding, or private gathering, Tailwind Coffee brings the perfect blend of style and great coffee to make your event unforgettable.

Our beans are roasted by Chattanooga’s award-winning Velo Coffee Roasters! We’ve tested coffee from all over the world and believe that our own local roasters do some of the best work!
Why Tailwind
We’re Hannah and Ian Kearns, partners in life and coffee, fueled by a passion for crafting sincere, meaningful moments. For years, we dreamed of opening a warm and welcoming coffee shop, and with Tailwind, that vision has taken flight in the most exciting way. As parents to three young daughters, building a family-centered business has been deeply important to us. Tailwind allows us to foster connections, celebrate community, and teach our girls the values of passion and drive. From calm early mornings to life’s milestone celebrations, we’re honored to be a part of your story.
